Thanks everyone for your replies.
I will double check back and front measurements when I go home after work this afternoon.
I haven’t got much margin for error which is my problem as obviously there needs to be a bit of leaway for movement :(.
Also its not as if I can try different washers and send back if not a fit. And I’m not keen on making a makeshift top for a new washing machine.
I have an old Bush one under atm that my son gave me temporarily-have had to remove the feet altogether to fit it under so when its on, it moves forward and has scratched some of the granite tiles.
Its all a bit of a nightmare.C D

Martin, I have been on the online chat on quite a few of the electrical websites and tried to say that 85 must be the max height, to the person I have ‘chatted’ to, however because that’s what it says on the advert they wont have it that it could be lower in height. The lady in Currys was helpful telling me that certain Bosch models have lids that can be replaced but didn’t seem too convinced that other washers can go lower than 85cm. My son and I measured quite a few washers but without trying to adjust the feet it wasn’t really successful as we were getting strange looks as you can imagine- we left in the end without success lol.

Don, I actually had my eye on this- graded as lid has snapped off and reduced to reflect this- apparently there is nothing else wrong with it…http://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/772 … ng-machine
and buy a proper cover for £30 off amazon (I rang Bosch for the right model cover and its on Amazon for this amount).
The only thing that puts me off is the 90 day warranty instead of the 2 year. Though I was wondering whether by registering with Bosch the 2 year guarantee will come into play anyway.C D

Thanks for the reply.
Was hoping there might be something jamming the pump or stuck in the pipes?. Is it possible to check.
I have on occasions unblocked pipes and such in my washing machine with success, so am happy to have a go in this case if this might be the case. -
