Ah well if that’s the case then I’ll just have to go with it.

Don’t really want to have to fork out for a new machine at the moment, especially if £100 buys it a few more years.

Changed the pump with no luck, so split the machine as described (a lot easier than it sounds) and took the condenser out and cleaned the majority of the crud out. Now back and working 🙂

    Thanks for your help

Any limit on how far it can be tipped back without hurting anything else?

As for the condenser cleaning, things do get hot in the drum and the fan is blowing so it may just be the pump?

Excellent thanks guys. Whereabouts are the pump and condenser located. I presume the pump is at the bottom somewhere, I’ve had a quick look underneath and the base is open. Is it OK to turn this machine on its side to replace the pump? Is this the right part: linky

Finally took it apart and slapped some car wheel bearing grease (lithium based stuff) on it. Re-assembled can hardly hear it spinning at all now, good tip, thanks a lot 😆

OK, this has happened again just a few weeks ago. Fixed it by defrosting for a coupe of days. Ever since then all the warning lights (3 of em) have been flashing. The fridge and freezer are both cold / freeing respectively. Any ideas on what my be causing the lights to flash?

Not the motor, the belt driven fan bit

Thanks for the replies, I’ve got a valve so I’ll give it ago. Incidentally the condenser fan is making a right racket when it spins up and when it stops. I replaced it less than a year ago, any reason why it keeps failing?

Thanks Dave, what sort of time should I leave it to defrost for? A couple of days?
