Re: Single oven with plug or replacement with wired?

Thanks – I am now looking at a BEKO OIM22300 That appears to be 13 Amp rated but comes without a cable so I guess I can just take the cable and plug off the old one, it looks to be in good condition.
The BEKO is a lot cheaper than the Bosch, Are BEKO a reasonable make?

Re: Hotpoint fridge freezer FF187E defrost heater spare part

    Hi,
you mention there is a defrost heater kit – c00259475 – with an extended heater. But i can’t find it on the spare parts site, and I don’t know if it is something easy for me to fit. Could you lket me know if the part number has changed and if it’s a difficult job? Thanks

errm, how do I remove the “sump hose”? Do I have to take the back off?
I’m looking at a round hole in the front of the machine with a grey plastic “plug”/ filter stuck in it.
If I get my wrench I can probably twist it out but I’m worried it will break in the process.
Sorry if I’m being thick here.. 🙁

Thanks, I tried a short program and the drum turned, but only one way during the wash phase. (I think it normally goes round one way for a bit and then reverses – unless I’m dreaming this ..). It wouldn’t kick in to a full spin, just clicked away then pumped itself out and ended.

I changed the motor brushes and used a stick on the armature about a year ago. Maybe I just need to do the same again.

But I kind of feel its at an age where the pump will be next or something else, and as I work away a lot I don’t want to leave the family “stranded” so I guess it’s probably time for new.

Thanks, I’ve noticed that the model numbers seem to be changing to end in 4, eg WAE24363 is now WAE 24364 and the WAE2416S is now WAE24164. Is there any significance to this except that the 4 ending models are retailing about £30 dearer?
Wife seems happy with minimal electronic gubbins and sees no need for LED displays so will probably go for the cheapest
