It was the flow meter. Not the connection, but the flow meter itself. Hope this helps someone in the future.

All LEDs lit/flashing is the anti flood tripped.

Leak or faulty anti-flood device I would think.

    K.

Thanks for that. I’m told the flow meter can have a bad connection and cause the same fault display as the anti-flood so I have ordered the water tank with the integral flow meter. I’ll report back with the results so it can help others in the future.

I haven’t checked that. I’ll give it a go. Thanks for that, Rocker.

Just in case it helps anyone in future – Rocker was right. The dryer NTC was O/C, causing the drain pump circuit to shut down 1 second after getting a signal. Thanks Rocker.

Incidently the values of both NTC’s should be around 20Kohms at room temperature.

Still stumped with this repair. I checked everything for an earth fault but all’s coming up fine. Also disconnected everything in turn to try to isolate the fault. No change.

I noticed that the dryer fan powers up for the same split second as the pump gets its power. Although the board is brand new I am going to send it off to get checked out but the mystery is that the same fault was present with the original board. ❓

Has anyone else come across this problem and can give me more pointers? :rolls:

OK thanks. She is just going to get a new hob now as there is a Beko touch control induction hob available for £199. Whichever board is faulty on the Diplomat she’d be looking at a similar sort of price for a repair.

No one got anything at all on this or point me in the right direction?

The same hob also comes branded Lamona and Howdens HJA6133. Stoves model number 444449113, Diplomat AAA1473. I can’t find error E22 anywhere. Help!

Ok, thanks a lot for all your help. 😀 I’ll check the brushes but it was the same symptoms before I fitted the new brushes. Looks like a new motor is called for. :rolls:

    Re: Hotpoint WDL540 washer dryer

Thanks for the reply. The door actually locks and it doesn’t unlock at all after the 6 clicks. I checked the wiring between motor and module – all fine. The machine actually started this time, on a drain and then on a rinse but as soon as the motor wanted to kick in it aborted and gave the 6 cliks of the door lock.

When I fitted the new brushes it sounded like it was sparking on fast spin. I’m leaning towards a faulty motor but none of the tabs are down to earth and I don’t know what resistances to expect between each tab.

Anyone got the diagnostics? It would probably help.

Sorry all, I forgot to mention the appliance in question is a washing machine. Anyone know how a part number for the sump to pump hose?
