ParticipantRe: best toolboxes?
I needed one recently after my last B n Q canvas one started to look tatty. Back to B n Q and got one of the Stanley tool bags with all the screwdriver and tool slots on one side behind elasticated retainer.
Whatever you do don’t be tempted. The tools are pushed out of the slots as soon as you close the bag. Its nigh on useless for keeping stuff tidy, so thanks for the links lads 🙂TC

Is it worth shelling out £120 for blue and green flashing lights and an LCD display or should I just buy a pack of Tarot Cards from Toys r us?
😀 I’d love to see Mike I Hs face if Helo turned up and got the cards out. I’d even pay for a front row ticket :rotfl:

ParticipantRe: Hot rinses for 12 years!
Had a similar one last year but a bit of lateral thinking had to go into it.
Customer complained of no heat on a hotpoint Wd. Tested it through and worked fine, checked dryer all fine. When quizzed on why she thought it wasn’t heating she pointed out that her sisters machine left the clothes nice and warm at the end of the wash programme.
Should have got two calls out of it 😥

Customers forgetting repairs eh 🙂
I had one last year who couldn’t remember his machine ever being repaired even though it was a wm51 with an old 95 style front plate and
tub on it. After replacing the tub complete with the correct type he remembered letting the machine go to a local shop for two weeks while they did a bearing change. Didn’t ask how much they charged but two weeks to change bearings and the labour charge would’ve been a lot 😉 .
Get off your horse and change them bearings, son.TC
