ParticipantThanks Penguin45,
The soapbox seems to open fine during the cycles even though the cycle doesn’t stop.
Is there anything still worth investigating with regards the solenoid? Also, how best to investigate the mains suppressor?
Thanks for your invaluable advice.

Hi Penguin45,
I notice you have a lot of right answers on this forum!
Can you help with the below?
I am having a problem with a SMEG DWi710E1.
The cycle will start, and get to the rinse most times and then just get stuck – it won’t move to the end of the cycle.
Sometimes it won’t get to the rinse but still get stuck.
The water gets hot, the plates get (almost) cleaned but the cycle doesn’t complete.
Any ideas?
Is it the timer (most expensive part) or should I investigate anything else before then?
Thanks in advance

I have seen a SMEG reset code – not sure if it will work for yours, but worth a go.
These are two links which list the reset process:

Good luck 🙂
