    Re: Hmmmm, what machine should I buy!!!???

    I too would also buy a Bosch machine. I came on here asking the same question 2 years ago, took heed, and bought a Bosch machine. I know it’s only 2 yrs old, but it does about 4 loads per week, is barely audible and came with an extended Bosch warranty. Great gear in my opinion and thousands will agree. Hope this helps.

    Re: Servis mo330w-1 FIXED

    I’m so, so grateful to all you guys who’ve helped me. Anyway, here’s how i fixed it. I removed all six screws on the panel in the freezer section and it came out. I pulled the fan out of the socket and checked it by connecting it to the mains and it didn’t spin(tried several times)and tripped my rcd. Anyway, i’ve temporarily put the fridgefreezer back together omitting the fan and there are no more bangs, gurgling noises and the compressor sounds very smooth unlike before. I now need to find a replacement fan. The fan looks like an induction or brushless motor and says;512023000, 94095, type f61-10, 220-240v~, 50/60hz, and says MES Swiss made. Any ideas where i can buy one please? Again, many thanks for all your assistance. Damian.

    Re: Opinions needed re;purchase of new washer and current f/

    If i can’t get my crapheap of a “Servis” fridgefreezer functional sometime soon, i will DEFINATELY be paying for a bit of good old Bosch. Sorry to fetch a 1yr+ thread back to life, but i feel credit is unreservedly deserved here. I’ve done some calculation on paper and realised that my budget Bosch washing machine as done between 340-380 cycles without a single glitch, and it runs as quiet as a brushless motor. LONG LIVE BOSCH

    Re: Servis mo330w-1 help please

    I’m very, very grateful for your assistance Spimps. At this moment in time things are quite wierd pal, in that the fridge section isn’t working at all. However, the bottom half(freezer section) is very odd in that the top section drawer(uppermost to the fridge) keeps foodstuffs cold. The drawer below keeps things ” half frozen “, and the lowest drawer freezes as is required. Looks like i’m going to consume the contents of my freezer before this attempt. As you quite rightly said though, i cannot hear any fan noise. All i can hear intermittently is a ” gurgling ” noise with an occassional bang. Cheers. Damian.

    spimps wrote:If you remove the screws you see,after pulling the plug out,the back panel will come forward.Not easy but you will then see the fan.The fan doesn’t work until the evaporator temp is down to minus 12c ish.

    Any idea where the fan in the freezer is please buddy? When i remove all the drawers i can’t see anything apart from a couple of holes with screws recessed in there. Cheers. Damian.

    Cheers Iadom.Yeah, i live only 5 minutes drive away from Direct Discounts.I’m now glad i bought my unit from Comet instead.Must admit, i’ve seen one of the receipts that they provide and they don’t look particularly professional.

    @Nomadpaul
    ; In that case i shall abstain from using soda crystals.After all, i recently purchased a Bosch machine on the 1/8/08 as can be noted from my post on the “general app enquiries sub-forum”..On this note i presume i’m better doing what i’m currently doing, and that is; Washing my white towels, bedding, etc, with Daz powder on a 60 deg wash, and washing my decent denim and coloured with Ariel colour safe(purple box) on a 40 deg wash?Sorry to ask, but i constantly see a large variation in opinions.Also, with regards a maintenance wash, would a drawer full of Daz powder on a 90 wash every 4-6 week suffice as opposed to the soda crystal method?Cheers guys.

    Get down to your local supermarket and buy yourself a bag of soda crystals.Fill your detergent tray with them and do another 90 degree wash.Try this a couple of times and then routinely do a 90 degree wash every 4-6 weeks to maintain the machine.This is my opinion anyway.

    Re: Microwave oven query

    Hiya Don.Yeah, i tried the Bosch locator and it came up with a local company called direct discounts.I phoned them up 1st thing but they said they stock everything Bosch apart from micro’s which is a pity.Anyway, i took a trip to Comet today and ended up purchasing the Panasonic NNE273S in stainless steel.It doesn’t say inverter on the front like the inverter versions, so i’m hoping it isn’t.It weighs a fair bit anyway so i’ll assume it’s the transformer.Cheers guys and have a good weekend.

    Re: Microwave oven query

    Cheers mate.Well, i’ve just been doing a bit of research and apparently Kenwood microwaves aren’t actuall manufactured by Kenwood, but are made by currys so i think i’ll be staying well clear.Also found a lot of people moaning about the Panasonic inverter units.Can anybody else add some input as i’m gonna be leaving here at 1pm to buy this.Cheers.

    @kledave: Cheers.@Helo, i’ve tried that fella already but he doesn’t have the part i require.However, i’ve managed to find it on another site for £24.I think i’ll be going for a new panasonic MCE3002 if i can’t locate the part any cheaper.

    Hi Dave.I’ve tried getting hold of a brush roller for it, but can’t find one anywhere.The vacuum cleaner i require the part for is a Panasonic MC-E468 1600W.It’s one of those white upright machines.If anyone could assist with telling me where to get this spare part, i’d be very grateful.It’s been a significantly better vac than both of the dysons i had.Cheers.

    @kwatt
    ..Thanks mate.I followed the link.Seems i’m right in using daz for whites.Instead of the fairy non bio though, i gather i should be using some colour safe ariel or similar.Would you agree?.I was under the impression that non bio powders contained no bleach agents.

    Re: Ecover & low temp washes.

    Hi guys.I’m a newbie to all this.I’ve just bought a bosch(now 3 days old).From what i can gather, this Ecover is dismal stuff.Am i right in using Daz powder at 30/40 degrees for my whites and fairy non bio powder for my coloureds(mainly blacks/denims) or would you recommend alternatives?Your feedback is much appreciated.My clothes are pretty expensive and i’d like a bit of longevity from my new washer.By the way, i dose according to my medium water area.Cheers.Damo.

    If their products are as poor as the website i’ll stay well and truly distant.That’s my consensus anyway.
