Just had another look at it, there’s water at the bottom of the filter drain area, also when I took the top off the salt container it was full of water..
Will lean it back as you suggest to try and empty the water and see how we get it on…if I can get the washer out. Currently it’s jammed between the 2 adjacent units, theres also the skirting board to negotiate which cant be removed with ease due to the floor tiles obstructing it’s removal…great ! !

I should be able to get the part free of charge as we’re still within the parts guarantee (but not labour).
Is replacement of the element something a novice could carry out? If not, what sort of cost range are we looking at for a qualified engineer to carry out repairs?

ps According to the instruction handbook we have, the model no. is 05-600407 – p’haps its a similar model to the one u mention?
