If you could post the PNC (product code) of the machine from the rating label inside the door Jonathan (it should begin 9…..), I’ll price the PCB and motor for you but as you say it may turn out to be uneconomical I’m afraid 🙁

Part number 1604306, there’s a picture on Connect’s site if it helps, fits quite a few of the WMA machines. Spring loaded affair by the look of it so it should be pretty straightforward.

It’s made by Nardi in Italy, I do have a source for spares for these but they are very slow I’m afraid often taking 6-8 weeks to deliver.
The part number is 031335000111R but no price details. If you’d like me to check further, drop me an email with the above part number and I’ll follow it up for pricing etc 🙂
I need to phone them tomorrow to chase existing orders anyway 😉

PCB – 816290672 – £108.99Both are list price ex VAT from MFI.
Masterpart will be able to supply both at a resonable price, if not, let me know and I can get them from Smeg or MFI for you.

There are universal types available but to be frank they really aren’t very good. They involve “cut to size” premoulded sections and glue, one mistake and that’s it 😉
I can certainly check for you though if you measure the existing door and let me know.

Manual sent by email (the closest I could find) but I think there is a fault with the oven also possibly. Unless the timer (if it has one) is not on “manual” setting ?

Very odd then, even though Candy use generic diagrams even the spares list associated with the model gives a remote release door 😕
A call to GIAS I think to be honest http://www.gias.co.uk to see if there’s more than one version or the information could be wrong on their tech site.
