So, if you get this error, even once, please let me know and I can sort it in literally two minutes now or so I’m told, with this patch but so far it appears to be working.

Please if anyone gets the this error message while trying to post a message on the forum.
To save Ken some time (what with the new arrival and all), please email me directly at dave@cesexeter.co.uk or use private messaging to send me your user name *only*, please don’t send your password for security reasons. I will then (hopefully) rectify it for you.

I found a fix and applied it this afternoon for the error so if anyone was having problems could you even try a “Test” post to make sure it’s all okay now.

Turns out that there was indeed a timout or DNS error.

That’s seems to have done the trick 🙂

I have posted some older Hoover codes in the error code section if it is the latter.

Thanks Mark, It’s an AI13001, sorry for the delay, but I’m doing this on behalf of someone else.

Did you see the thing about Endeva on the mailing list and did you get the point of it?

As we sell Philips brown goods we have to use these useless rsoles to cover i/g stuff. I never realised how cr*p they were untill I got personally involved when my in-laws new video went faulty just after last xmas. 😯

Three visits and twenty phone calls later I managed to get a replacemant as their communication between retailers, customers and engineers is nothing less than pittiful.

And, yes I did get the point BTW, brown goods engineers on the market looking for work about now then 😉

Im looking to buy a american style fridge freezer the side by side style with water and ice.
I would like one that fits in with the standard 600mm deep units, does anyone have any recomendations on make and model?
    Cheers
    Rob

    Hi Rob

For value for money try LG. http://www.lge.co.uk

I think the depth may be a problem though as most US style refrigeration will stand proud of standard work surfaces.

I haven’t got one but they are still available at about £4. Part number 50210884008 try Connect (Electrue) or Washvac.

    They are white now BTW.

Yep, just to back up what Ken has said, this site is very comprehensive, but once you get the ‘feel’ of it, it should all be quite easy to get around. Please feel free to PM (private message) or email myself or Ken if you need any help finding your way around. The importance of this site is becoming quite substantial, 20,000 hits in one month already 😯

We already have one prospective contract, can’t be bad eh ?

andy_art_trigg wrote:My understanding is that it isn’t a legal requirement to have public liability insurance because the insurance is taken out to cover the repairer and not the customer. Therefore it’s highly unlikely to ever become a legal requirement.

However, Employers liability is a legal requirement because people working for someone need to be protected.

Correct, apparently not, here’s the reply I recieved:

Any work carried out away from your premises which adversely affected a third party would benefit from public liability insurance in the event of a claim. A third party could make a personal claim against you or the directors of the company if no such policy was in place.

Also to check if you have any messages, scroll right to the bottom of the page and look in the left hand bottom corner. If you have any messages it will tell you below where the ‘who’s on line’ info box is.

BTW Ken, could this be moved up a bit higher so it is instantly visable, the pop up message only works when you are actually viewing the site.
