On the subject of Smeg, I recieved notification this morning of the information pack they have sent me regarding agency work.

The notification was from The Royal Mail telling me I had a £2.50 surcharge to pay as Smeg/Servast hadn’t paid the postage in full 😡 FFS

And I have to get into the city centre to collect it 😈

I wonder how many times many of us have lost custom due to innacurate information from badly equipped spares wholesalers 😕

Dick, these are still available new 🙂

Hoover part number 09009044 or 621856 (old part number). They are no longer the reinforced type, just a corrugated semi transparent hose. Priced at £2.39 + VAT from Connect.

I haven’t got one, but I can order if neccessary, let me know.

    Regards

No matter what size the cake, there are those that want all the marzipan and cherries as well, not to mention the hundreds and thousands 😉

Put it this way, when I asked if the rates were negotiable, I was told that Servis UK set the rates and GB DAR had no say in the matter 😕

Woody, it’s GB DAR (Great Britain Domestic Appliance Repairs).

They are the appointed service agent and spares distributor for Servis UK and Asko (part of Servis). They also handle 3rd party repairs from Retra Insurance.

I believe they have a small quantity of direct employed engineers but mainly pass the calls they handle to independants.

Have you been offered work ? I am contacted monthly by them, but as yet I am unable to agree with them on various aspects of their agreement they request me to sign 😉

    Regards.

    K.

On that, if anyone wants to pose questions regarding this anonymously, please contact either myself or Ken, who can assist in this. I for one will guarantee the questions raised will be addressed without any names being mentioned, and I’m sure Ken will do the same if requested.

    Best Regards

Ted, it’s nice to see a healthy, open minded and flexible approach from an insurer where extended warranties are concerned.

Too often these days the needs of the repair agent are overlooked in favour of sales.

A policy I, for one will be recommending to our customers, whether for new appliances or during an engineers visit.

Well I just phoned her direct number from my mobile (number hidden) and Barbara Haughton answered 😯

Mark, I know you were trying to get hold of her yesterday, did you ??

I just noticed on the said email from JT, a certain person who has been on holiday is not cc’d on it 😯

Has Jo Lo done a runner ?

I cc’d her yesterday when I asked B Haughton about the remaining payment balance, no delivery success report yet……

Flipper wrote:P.S. Apparantly the share certificates are being processed ?

Apparently, yes. But as I have pointed out to NC, they haven’t deducted the correct ammounts on the correct dates as per the agreement. I haven’t actually paid for all the shares and they still tell me the certificates are there waiting to be signed 😕 Signed by who ??

I also pointed out that any discrepencies in shares payments and certificate allocation is in breach of company law, as yet unreplied 😡
