    Re: low temperature

Dual fuel (gas top) could be difficult to do and again not for the fainthearted. I would suggest looking on the repairs @ on this site to find someone in you area who is prepared perhaps to give you a quote for this repair..The stat itself should be available for around £20.00ish

    hope this is of help.

    I agree with Dave
We charge an `inspection fee` on all repairs booked into the workshop.
We started this several years ago to counter the exact problem you are suffering from.
if you charge say £5-£10 depending on the product the customer is already committed and will, usually, hassle you to get the thing ready!
the downside is you do have to ensure a quick turnround on repairs, because we found that having paid the inspection fee the customers expection is raised because they have already paid you for an element of service!

We deduct the inspection fee from completed repairs and it helps to cover the disposal etc of the BER`s.

    cheers

    Re: low temperature

does the temperature light on the facia (control) panel go out?
this light is linked to the thermostat and goes out when the stat switches off (ie oven has reached correct temp).
if the light is not going out it indicates an element or fan/motor (if it has one) problem.
if light goes out at incorrect temp indicates thermostat problem.

    Re: AEG B2190 oven

on these models there is device that cuts in the cooling fan. When this stops working the safety thermostat cuts all power off, it is sensing the overheating that you mention.
The repair requires stripping down of the oven and replacing a device which has four terminals connected accross selector switches. generally not job for a diyer. I would suggest looking on the site for a local AEG repairer who should be able to sort it for you.

    hope this helps.
