    Dave.

    Dave,
Yes once again machine is working like a dream – again thank you for everything 🙂 I also took the time to fabricate a bracket to position and hold the rear leg winder in place – the result is the rear leg works again now which is just soooooo much easier than jamming wood at the back of the machine 😀

    Many thanks

OK so there was a very fine thread towards the end that I couldnt originally see – put it under the inspection lamp and I could see it!

Thank you for the support, Ill go back and stand in the corner now 🙂

    Thank you for the reply.

There is honestly no thread in the moulding, it is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} smooth. A left hand thread I can handle, but being smooth I wasnt sure what to do next!

Also, yours has the newer version fitted (note the two holes where it’s fixed to the motor), Smeg have superseded the part number which is the one you have in your picture so the part number is correct 😀

    Dave.

Ah ok sorry, I dont mean the piece with the hose attached I mean the central piece.

Just so Im clear, I have the newer item with the longer central connector as shown in my picture? If I order the part number given I will receive this new piece and it will be the housing as shown in my link?

    Many thanks 🙂

Re: Smeg DWI 67.1 pump problem – advice please?

Actually Ive just checked my assembly and the impellor housing appears to be :-

    1) In a different orientation to the one shown in the previous link

    2) The main central pipe connector on mine is longer

I believe when the engineer first replaced this when broken he had to come back for exactly this reason. Is there another part I should be looking at?

Many thanks for all the help
