    Thanks. Theres a used one on ebay at the mo for £18 so may give that a punt.

    Have taken the PCB out fully now, looks like dry joints on RL7 I’ll try soldering them up tomorrow and if that fails I guess it’s a new PCB or new WM.

    The connector on the end of the blue wire that attaches to the element and goes to the PCB is very black at the PCB.

    Got 30 ohms across heating element and continuity. Can’t do an insulation test as haven’t got a megger.
    Other than the earth terminal, what are the other terminals for (2 together) – some kind of temp sensor? – I don’t get continuity across those if that’s relevant.

    Hi – thanks for that,

    What sort of resistance am I looking for? – I haven’t delved into taking washing machines apart before but have had some electrical experience so would like to have a go myself.
