    Re: Bosch Exxcell110 WF02264GB

Thank you I will put the brush back

and get a replacement pump as that would seem likely culprit
do i need the whole pump unit or can one get just the motor bit ?

will get torch and have a good look around daughters machine
are there instructions anywhere on how to remove the wire if thats whats there ….i dont think its bearings because theres no noise when spinning or washing just a clunk when spinning ends and the scraping sound when moving the drum by hand

    Re: Bosch Exxcell110 WF02264GB

I would like to fix both machines especially mine as its a hot and cold fill and a superb washer

Mine the carbon brushes are 2 cm long so as i believe new ones are 3.6cm
do i need to change them or is it more likely to be dodgy pump even though its propeller spins

Daughters machine …………how would i establish whether its bra wire or dodgy bearings
what would have created all the fine black grit that came out of the pump

Re: Bosch WFF1201 wont spin or drain but goes through cycle

Got one carbon brush out and its 1 inch long
so i am guessing they are not the problem
what length are new ones please ?
looks like spare part code for them would be ES1019979

Re: Bosch Exxcel 1100 Express – WFO2265GB wont spin

Sounds like it could be bra wire

its as if the outer surface of the drum is grating on the casing

    drive belt seems fine
rubber door seal is tatty at the top but maybe thats where a bra wire worked through ……………if i remove the rubber door seal will i be able to tell /find the object because something was creating the black grit that came out of pump

Re: Bosch Exxcel 1100 Express – WFO2265GB wont spin

Can anyone tell me how old these machines would be ?
my daughter has a WF02264GB and while it works ok it makes a nasty noise in the drum when it stops spinning and if you manually turn the drum

is it worth trying to fix it

pump is spinning ok and sounds perfectly normal …………..but then in few seconds i get odd noise
would that be the motor not happy due to carbon brushes

Re: Bosch WFF1201 wont spin or drain but goes through cycle

found the receipt i bought this machine in 1998

so guess it could be the carbon brushes

cant get the back of the machine to make life easier as its a large grey plate over the whole back and they look like phillips screws but their not

Re: Bosch WFF1201 wont spin or drain but goes through cycle

Anyone know what the carbon brushes look like on these motors cos theres no red bars either side

all i can see is 2 little brass clip type things with a wire
one either side of the motor maybe thats them ?

its a WFF1201GB/01 model from thev plate on the back and seems compatible carbon brushes are ES1019979 on whitefoods website

Re: Bosch WFF1201 wont spin or drain but goes through cycle

the propeller in the pump turns with my fingers when i have the drain plug unscrewed

so presumably its Ok how else do i check

Need to check the carbon brushes on the motor next i guess although so far not located them visually and not sure i want to try removing the motor

would there not have been other symptoms to indicate a failure of parts because the machine worked fine last time i used it

i guess its around 9 yrs old
