    Re: possiable re-gas needed

Mmmm that sounds like the most expensive part to me, was hoping if it wasnt a gas problem it was going to be The thermostat. and i would think its an electronic type and not a manual one.

Hi K, thanks for the reply, its just three years old, there was a crack in the freezer wall that ive just covered with silver heat resistant tape to see if it helps, its now droped to -3 from zero in one and a half hours and still droping. If as you say its not a gas problem can you make a guess as to where i need to be looking. Thanks again K. 🙂

    Re: Lg American Style fridge/freezer

Brought this home, as it had to lie on its back comming back i left it over night for the gas to sink down, tried it this morning… pump comes on but no fans, temp drops a little. Do i need to leave it longer before it will come to life. fridge/freezers arnt my strong point. Just strange the fans arnt working. it came on at the house i brought it from and i felt it blowing very cold. Any help to sort would be fantastic. 🙂

Just pressed both door light catches and after 10 sec the fans come on so will wait and see if it drops colder now

    Re: Hotpoint WF630G Bearings

Been shoping around trying to get the best deal for the bering kit for this Hotpoint WF630G as it’s the 30mm shaft,
The best iv’e found so far is 17 pound free postage no vat, this is to the public, Dont think trade would make any difference but then again i havent asked. Has anyone got a cheaper quote than this.? 😀

    Re: Hotpoint WF630G Bearings

Well i did get it for peanuts and they seem to fetch a very good price when fixed/serviced so im not going to loose much sleep over the quality production. Like all things these days made to just last up to the day the cover runs out. If you ask me there must be a extra chip in the bord that times out after 3 years. 😀

    Re: Hotpoint WF630G Bearings

Well i will be using a large bar and lump hammer that i have always used to remove the bearings then i use the old hotpoint threaded bar tool to replace them. but not done a WF630 just the WMA series but “hey” are these not the same. Before I go…what do you use to remove the damper pins with cos i often end up having to buy new one’s as i bugger the plastic clip that stops them from comming loose again.

Going to dust off the calipers tomorow and hope i get a reading of 35mm. Even the door gaskit is twice that of the Wma series. 🙂

Good idea… There is a lot of play in the shaft so a spider it is then. 😀 think it going to need a new door seal too, phew 🙂

    Re: Hotpoint WF630G Bearings

Bearing kit – 1604473. This kit is the 35 mm type but im showing Bearing kit 1604600 the 30 mm kits, for model WF630G. So dose the WMA bearing kit fit the WF range. Im confused now 😕 Thank’s. Doug.

Sounds like you have found the water level sensor not the antiflood device.

Dont you get the 14 day cool off period? (sorry no pun intended) contact you local citizen advise bureau for help. I think Argos have over steped the mark on this one. 🙂 Found this on there site that could help too
