ParticipantRe: miele W937
Hi and thanks for your input. usually flashing rinse light does point to either/ and direction control relay on module board which also blows the 6.3A fuse on same board, preventing the motor from working.
However, this machine spins fine, brushes are ok. there are TWO rinse lights, rinse 1 and 2 and a rinse 3 lamp, which is the one flashing..NO water is taken in on any cycle but will drain and spin…
any more input would be appreciated.

Thanks for that Martin but regret have already changed the valve.
By the way, are these machines prone to creating a lot of steam from the soap drawer?..domesticbliss

Hi Brian, checked heater..ok, ntc and wiring back to the el 101..all ok.
Anything else spring to mind before I contemplate either replacing the module bd or scrapping the machine?

ParticipantRe: just a query – smelly boschs
I work on Bosch and have encountered this problem many times.
I bet you the customer is using a liquid detergent!
I cannot pin down any particular brand as I once had someone using sommerfields own brand which left her machine smelling..perfumed!
Also I`ve had machines smelling VERY `drainy` who have been using gel tabs. NEVER encountered a powder user with a smelly machine!
Hope this has been of use to you and would welcome any further comments on this to confirm my suspicions that liquid is the cause of most `eggy` and `drainy` smells.
p.s. a change over to powder usually gets rid of smells after two to three weeks so feedback tells me.domesticbliss
ParticipantRe: Van logo
I thank you all for your valued comments. I have had the van signed now with the `logos` in plain text to avoid the posibility of opening that can of worms plus I havn`t the time to chase agreements or get out the hairdryer for removal etc.
I could understand the litigation route if I was driving an old transit but this is a brand new vw transporter which looks very smart.
Once again thankyou for your input.

ParticipantRe: miele w844
Thanks for your input Phil, I thought it was linked to motor as manually spinning the drum stops the lights flashing…I have a few spare motors and have tried them along with checking the brushes which just about confirms the module board faulty..QER £49..unless you know of a better source….

ParticipantRe: gorenje anybody?
Thanks for that Brian. I`ve been trying to look at retail prices on the net..all the ones I saw were discontinued or out of stock..still smells a little fishy to me but will be going to the warehouse on Monday for a good look at them…any `typical faults` with them?

ParticipantRe: Miele G1230SC Error Codes F51 F24
It may be worth checking the large white relay underneath and at the rear of the machine..any flood damage over 2″ can cause the relay coil to deteriorate and become open cct..this will also give the same fault codes.
Good luck -
