ParticipantRe: Bosch WTE84107 condenser dryer
I can answer my own question as have spoken to a good friend of mine who was a Bosch engineer for many years. He tells me this is extremely common on this type of dryer and that 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time it`s the main program board that fails due to the high heat and poor design. A replacement board is £160 and may well fail again.
Subsequent models have the board encased in epoxy in an attempt to negate failure …but they still fail.
Worth bearing in mind……domesticbliss

No, no repairs or call backs on the dishwasher. It has been working well since it was sold.

I am feeling less `shaky` now. Thank you all for your input in this matter. I`ve been in touch with Trading Standards again who are currently investigating the whole Bosch recall system to ascertain if it is fit for purpose!
I`ve sent copies of the letter to my insurers and spoken with them so ..I`ll keep you all updated when I`ve more information.
Once again, MANY thanks for your input.

Thank you for your speedy reply Martin, I feel there may be some scare mongery going on here and believe me, it`s working. I`m waiting for a call back from Trading Standards. The letter states that I should forward the letter to my own insurers for them to deal with which I`ll do following T.S. return call.
Yes, maybe a post from Jackal would help …all input is appreciated as at the moment i`m finding it difficult to work with shaking hands.domesticbliss
ParticipantRe: Zanussi WJS1397W skips drying
I`ll check when it next stops.
Is there anything else I could check as I can`t take it into the workshop as it`s in a nursing home and they use the washer some 3 times daily.
Thanks again Martindomesticbliss
ParticipantRe: Miele WT945 dryer stays on
Found the fault Seamy. The machine had had a previous repair and one of the screws that secures the interlock was missing the plastic insulator so the machine thought the clothes were still wet and continued to dry…simples!
Thanks again for your input.

Only paid £40 for it to recon, looking like it was a good buy….for spares. Pity really, I mostly deal with Miele but then this one came along….

ParticipantRe: siemens IQ 1430
Thanks for the link Dom but had the documents to hand. Lists many faults but not the one I have……
It`s almost like it`s not booting up..gets so far then resets itself.
Really pulling what little hair I have left out on this one…..

Display says `siemens` which fades for 5 seconds then comes back on again.
Any ideas?domesticbliss
