Not the best place to consider buying from at the moment.
Thanks for that .Maybe I should try a local retailer.

That U1422 is a cracking model, I don`t know about the “aquacleanse” mode as I have yet to see one in action.

Seems as though its a Nef U1422 she looked at which has what they call an Aquacleanse cleaning system whereby one adds some water into the bottom of the oven with some detergent presses a button and the steam produced cleans the oven. Does anyone know if this is effective enough or whether conventional ceramic liners are better? We are basically looking for reliable “does what it says on the tin ” oven without unnecessary features we would never use

They do tend to be single ovens, both Bosch and Neff produce a couple each.

Hi
Looks as though I go the wrong end pf the stick, It seems there is an oven out there where you stick a bowl of water in it so that the steam produced helps to clean it. Not sure if that is right. I know my wife looked at Bosch and Neff so it must be one of those two. Thanksdonmaico

excuse me resurrecting this thread but we have decided tp go electric . My wife wants a steam oven which I have never heard of. Are there any double oven ones, maybe Bosch ?Thanks

Thanks for the links but one of them only explains electric ovens from what I can see.I am wondering whether my oven needs servicing or whether its an inherent weakness, the lack of heat that is.What i wouldnt want to do is buy a replacement and find no discernible improvement.

Thanks for the reply. i was very tempted by that machine but as i live in area which is not covered by your list of agents, the nearest being up in birmingham, according the gentleman I spoke to on the phone, I thought it prudent to buy a Bosch WAE 24162 as they seem to be well supported here with plenty of spares. If IES grows bigger I’ll certainly consider them in future as i like the idea of well made products that last a long time and can be readily serviced. Maybe IES might consider selling other products of a similar robustness as well
many thanks for the advice -
