No the drum is empty what should happen next is that it should spin again to further spin out any water absorbed in the wash clothes but it does not move onto the next cycle (one of four which should all run after each other)

Re: Whirlpool AWM 1403..Stopping between cycles ?

    Hi Martin

The spin cycle on this machine is numeric and comes after the wash programmes which are letters a,b,c, etc so it is only stopping during the final spinning programmes.
The main washing cycle is okay heating and draining etc it just stops after number 1 on the spinning sequence
Hope this helps a bit more..

Re: Whirlpool AWM 1403..Stopping between cycles ?

It stops between cycle 1 and 2 during the spin sequence and sometimes just before it finishes the complete wash programme.
It washes, drains and when it spins all the way to the end of whatever programme it was started on it seems to be working OK.To get it going again it just needs to be slightly turned in the right direction.
Hope this is a bit clearer
