    Re: Dishwasher pcb connector

Thanks for the info, think i will check the connections on the pcb first as i want to repair it as cheaply as possible, as maybe a fault elesewhere that has lead to the heating of the block.

Hmm, Not sure the Bosch machines are all they are cracked up to be judging from my experience and the number of psots on here from bosch owners? But what is the trade’s view?

    Re: bosch sgv43a03gb17

Having fitted the new module which worked fine for a couple of weeks,
I thought I’d send it back to Bosch applinace spares people for them to test it. If it was OK then no prob, if it was faulty then I wanted a replacement. They said yes it was faulty but there is NO guarantee as it wasn’t fited by an authorised engineer. I argued that it was only a plug in module. They said they would send a replacement as a goodwill gesture, but again with No guarantee. I asked for a refund and they have duly obliged (fair play). So now I’ve got my £100 it’s time for a new machine.
I went for Bosch as although a lot dearer I thought it would be reliable and long-serving. It lasted just over 2 years. Rather than go through what might be an expensive repair exercise we’ve decided to buy a new machine.
Any suggestions? Is it worth spending more or I’m I better off going for something cheap and replace it every 2/3 years?
    The quieter the better.
    Thanks …

    Right.
    Thanks Greg.
I am a cynic and will be amazed if bosch give me the coding details.
Is there anywhere else I could find info?
Failing that its a new machine. No point going down a new module route if I can’t get coding info.

Thanks for the help so far….
I’m not doubting what you say, just a tad confused as the machine worked
    fine for a week.
    Any thoughts.?

    Oh.
    Ok, had probelms.
    Put them down to module.
Replaced module with new Bosch one.
    Didn’t code it.
    Worked perfectly for a week.
If it needs coding again how do i do this?
    Where can i get code?

This is a new programmer which worked fine for a week, then
    ‘lost its marbles’.
Is there a way or resetiing the programmer.
I noticed that there is a spare button which is blanked off.
Would anyone know if this can reset the programmer?

    Re: bosch sgv43a03gb17

    Ok,
    I’m not giving up.
Drains fine. Flow rate fine. I’ve drained it in a bowl and it seems to drain
without problem and empty completely. So pump working fine.
Tray is dry. All liughts on permanent and will not reset.!

    Re: bosch sgv43a03gb17

Ok, I’m fed up with it now.
I’ll be away on holiday now for a week or so but when I get back
I will go through all the things you have suggested.
As it happens it’s quite good fun seeing the Mrs wash up for a change!
    Cheers for now…

    Re: bosch sgv43a03gb17

    Thanks Clive,

Already done that. Impeller seems to rotate Ok.
Am I right in saying that there is a flap which opens to allow water
to train down the tube (which is opened by the force of the water caused by the impeller), or is this something which is causing the blockage?
What is the most effective way to clean the drain tubing.
I’ve checked the sink end and can see daylight right down the tube, so if blocked it must be somewhere inside the machine?

    Cheers

    Re: bosch sgv43a03gb17

    Oh dear!
Worked perferctly for a week (on every day).
Was set on a 65 degree wash.
Now all the red lights are on and the machine is not empty at end of cycle.
Tried a reset but this will not end the program to clear it so I can drain the machine and start a new wash.
    HELP! 🙁

    Re: bosch sgv43a03gb17

I’ve now replaced the control module.
Now the lights all work and the machine as tested so far will do
a prewash cycle ok (20mins), drained properly.
Ran the 35 degree wash (30mins) all finished properly.
But ran the 65 degree wash, finished the full cycle fully, but some water
    left in bottom.
Did a reset and it drained nicely.
Am I correct in assuming that the pump runs for a set time, and so if the water is draining but not flowing properly due to a partial blockage, then water will remain.
Or, should it drain until completely empty?
If so why when reset did it drain OK?
    I’m puzzled now….
