Re: Diplomat ADP8322 Tripping out power

Had the same problem with mine. Found that the hose on the pump had split. This was one of the notorious askol ones. As the hose is actually part of the pump, had to buy complete new pump assy (which is an improved version). As the hose leaked it was dripping on the connector for the pump, shorting it out. Don’t know if this is your problem, but worth a look. Suppose if the hose was leaking slowly, the pump would still run.

    Re: diplomat ADP8322 tripping rcd.

Received new pump and was a bit concerned as it had an L shaped bracket to fix onto the chassis of machine (original had spindle and rubber grommet). Needn’t have worried as obviously Diplomat were aware of the pump problem as there were holes and slots in chassis already to accommodate new pump. Many thanks to all, dishwasher now up and running (should keep missus happy for an hour or so).

Is the new pump is an improved version/different make? Thanks for your prompt reply

    Re: diplomat ADP8322 tripping rcd.

Finally after leaving the machine untouched for long time, I have got round to removing the pump (Askoll). Noticed on doing so that the larger hose is split almost half way round. Looks like this could account for tripping RCD (connector possibly getting wet), and all water being pumped out of hose. Am I right to think that the hose cannot be purchased on its own, and that I would have to buy the whole pump assembly? (4812 361 58334 I believe). Also, are the removed jubilee clips reusable? Thanks in advance, Dougie.

    Re: diplomat ADP8322 tripping rcd.

But is it worth calling out an engineer? Call out charge probably about £100, plus possibly £100 for pump. Rather buy a decent reliable make. Is it not possible to check out the motor using a meter?

    Re: diplomat ADP8322 tripping rcd.

Many parts of the unit still have water inside. Have checked circulating pump and it is one of these Askoll types. Is it possible that this is the problem? What causes the water that was in the bottom tray? Thanks in advance, Doug.

Checked – ok, and cleaned. Part at bottom left, rear section looks to be bunged up with debris, or should this be orange in colour. What is it, and how do I take it apart.

    Re: diplomat ADP8322 tripping rcd.

As said on my 2nd post, after removing some water from inside machine, machine powers up and does not trip rcd, but start button light flashes twice. Don’t need lesson regarding rcd, mcb and rcbo, I’m a spark. Have now removed bottom front cover and drained water from tray. Was hoping to start appliance and see where leak was coming from. Unfortunately now light flashes four times. Can someone please tell me what the fault code means.

    Re: diplomat ADP8322 tripping rcd.

Had a look at door switch area, reassembled, bailed out little bit of water inside base of machine, and was able to switch on without rcd tripping. Then start button light was flashing twice, continuously. Then managed to get it into a program, which it started, but was then beeping continuously. This is a built in appliance, so take it that it has to be pulled out to access motors, pumps etc.

Also forget to say, the fan has been a bit noisy recently, and appliance makes some funny clunking noises.

Thanks for the info, but was hoping to avoid calling out an engineer. Is there any way of checking the parts mentioned?

hello Bryan, after holding buttons for 5 secs all display flickered for about 2 secs and then only middle and bottom horizontal bars of 2nd digit of temp display stayed on, eventually returning to normal display.
