why is this kit needed and would I be able to check a new unit has come with kit installed?

assuming new unit comes with this kit, are there any other problems that mean I should stay away?

it comes with 2year samsung warranty so I guess that would cover any issues…

what is this kit used for, how and when is it used? has it been applied by samsung for all new units or do they only apply kit if customer reports problem? or is kit something customer needs to use?
