Re: F&P Motor Controller Setup GW712

Ok will give it a go.

I am a little hesitant though as in fact this was the second controller (I left it out to avoid confusion). Last time I got a same sought of thing and ended up with and error code 9 (bad controller or misconfiguration). There I only touched the power button on the console. The difference in this case is I actually turned the console on to confirm functionality before looking at the configuration instructions. And I turned it off again….and eventually ended up having to swap the controller with this one.

The supplier was very good about it and I thanked him.

Turning the power of at the console will not “load” invalid settings into the controller??

    Thanks

Re: F&P GW712 Does Not Spin Error Code 10000010 (130)

    Hi, I’m back.

Well I am now getting to the point of retiring this machine and moving onto an new brand….but thought I’d give one last crack!

I have bought a new controller, given the problems below are still persisting and have concluded it was the controller (tapping the controller removes the fault for awhile).

However F&P instructions have a “gotcha” line. When the new controller was installed I turned it on to ensure it “lights up”, which it did. The instructions first tell you to “turn off the power” if the controller has lights on. So I push the power button to turn off the power. What F&P actual meant was “disconnect the power from the wall” The result is I now have an illegally configured controller….and no instruction on how to restore factor defaults!!

The supplier says if you are not a “registered repair agent” warrant is null and void..!!!!

As a tech myself, I refuse to believe factor defaults cannot be reset on the the controller. So my question is…how can you set factor defaults??

    Thanks in advance

Thanks for that. My wife tells me me it worked fine today, but will keep an eye on it for now. If it plays up, I will replace the RPS. Thanks for the info.

Closing note, for other readers out there.

The water pump was proven to be at fault. I ordered a new pump in, and the machine is now fine.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers

    Re: F&P GW712 Error 00100101

    How’d. Back again.

I stuck a thermocouple temperature sensor onto the metal core of the pump. I did this on two grounds. Firstly, I had one that is bundled with the multimeter I have. Also I tend to have aversion to the smell of burning flesh, particularly if its mine!

Anyway back on subject, I measured a temperature of 74oC (162oF). Sounds a bit hot, so i will organise a new pump.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards.
