Re: Beko wm5100w washing machine 5kg tripping electrics

Thank you. I do not have a megger. But electrics trip soon as its plugged in. I will look at the mains filter and socket etc. The heater is giving a reading of 28 using a multimeter i guess this means its ok.

If not it could be a blockage in the pressure vessel, and if the brushes in the motor have never been renewed, then its worth checking those out as well

I cleaned out the gunge in the filter and blew down pressure pipe.. it was clear.. the pressure switch clicks as normal.. what i noticed is the washing machine seems to be stuck on spin.. it will spin once then repeat again and again on final spin.. how many spins are normal? When the machine was repeating spin.. third time, i nudged the door by pushing it gently and at once it started slowing down then stopped. Followed by a click and the end light on. By the way, the machine behaved better as it had cold and hot fill than when i had it on cold fill only.. which was connected to the hot water hose. Still think that its repeating spins unneccessarily. Any help? Thanx gentleman..

how does one test a motor using a multimeter? i always work on an unplugged appliance. i am going to check if the door lock is faulty but it works fine because it locks the door. but i the power lead and filter making a pop sound sort of points to a mains filter fault? :rolls:

I did check with multimeter and had bout 28 -38 or so reading… does the heating element cause a loud popping sound from the power lead filter at back of machine?

Do faulty door locks appear to work as normal but faulty? Is the filter/plug at back of machine the problem? Please help!
