    Heard from a Hotpoint engineer that the number is nearer 8 million, anything made from 2006 onwards has to have a new back plate fitted, also a stud has to be fitted to the back of the drum to clear fluff from rear seal as drum rotates.
    He says they have not been informed of a recall and they have already started modifications. Any t/d produced btw 2004 and 2006 will be exchanged.
