Ok I have now located the oven element. It is not behind the rear cover where the fan is located but it seems to be incorparated in with the grill element. Anyone know the part number please??

Woh Woh Woh…hold on 1 min… I have had a real nightmare with B & Q regarding the mentioned oven. On the back of oven documentation is says in balck and white “1 year labour and 5 years part gaurentee” As my oven is 18 months old, I called B & Q regarding getting the part required (element). They told me that I need to call the tel no. on the documentation. This was a number by “caremark”. There was a recorded message asking me to call another number. When I called it, I was put through to national appliance centre. They told me that the “5 Year” was a misprint by B & Q. So I called B & Q and they said “this is not a misprint but caremark have gone into liqadation and I need to speak to whirlpool” I got the same responce from them aswell..Do I have no gaurentee now??? Is this all true or am I covered still for parts???

The fan is behind a panal on the inside of the oven. Do you mean the the element is around the Fan motor behind the back panal and insulation?

Can I not fit the element myself? I am an engineer by trade. Although I have not worked on ovens before, Im sure it cant be that difficult.
