    Hi
There is no need to register to qualify for the 2 year free parts and labour cover.
It is automatically given providing you can show a valid receipt to the engineer.
The only reason they want you to register is that Domestic and General Insurance can obtain your details for future use.

    Hi Mick
Easiest first 🙂 Take lid of appliance off and locate the uplift pipe going to water tank.
Half turn the circular that pipe that it is on and lift up wards, winkle pipe off and check there first for blockage.

    Hi
    1/ Its inaccessible/sealed
    2/ Yes
3/ No, but looks like it may need removing and cleaning. 😀
4/ Should be clear, so not normal.

The ribbed hose in question is accessible from the front by removing the lower plinth (outer door panel off may aid), the hose then is right in front of you.

    IIRC, they are barbed in.
A good pair of pliers on the brush holder and pull like buggery 😉

    Hi trilobite
The area you refer to is the drainage hose ventilation valve. Basically its to prevent airlocks in the drain system. With that much crud in there, its going to cause problems.

    Cheers

The water matrix will definately need replacing for starters as its not accesible for cleaning and will cause no end of problems.
I would then look at the antiflood/pressure unit to the right of it, if it is gunged up and you can clean it all brilliant, if not you will need to replace that.
Last and not least you will need to remove and clean the clear ribbed pipe which goes from the metering unit to the sump.

To prevent this in the future ignore what the book says as to loading; scrape the worst off in the bin and then give the plates a quick rinse under tap before loading, this will prevent this build up. Also a monthly maintenance wash as previously mentioned will work wonders 😀

      Hi
You are not bothering me at all.
I will have to involve site admin at this time as intimidation from ANY user of the site is not allowed.
      They have the ultimate decision.
As for blocking him, if you go into a forum where he has posted, there is an ignore button.

      Hang in there

      Greg

I will leave mike to you Ken 👿
