    Re: Who should pay?

    Hi
As this was an expensive job, did you not have to get authorisation from the insurance company, most of them want to know if the cost of a repair exceeds Β£125 πŸ˜• They should have picked up on the customer having no insurance then surely.

    Hi
Do you have the 12 digit NC number, situated in fridge section on l/h/s near salad drawer. The number will begin with 85xxxxxxxxxx

    Hi
You are going to need at least a 25 amp feed for that appliance by the look of it and no it won’t go on a normal plugtop.
Do you know the model number?

Re: Siemens SE25A090GB/17 – Stuck on 1 min + other issues!

    Hi
Sometimes the antiflood/metering unit and water matrix on l/h/s can be come crudded up.
Heating – Basically if there is insufficient water in tub, it won’t heat due to a safety microswitch on heater unit. As a guide, when appliance has finished filling the water level should bejust below lower spray arm and definately not level or above.
Do you have a HOT fill to the appliance as this may give the impression that appliance is heating?
Heater can be checked easily with a multimeter app 30 ohms and is accesible fro the r/h/s, power off of course :plug:

Alternating upper and lower spray arms – This is normal.

    Hi
LG are fine and quite reliable.
Which are rarely innacurate in their reviews 8)

    Hi
Personally I would go with Siemens as the quality, customer support and heaven for bid spares are readily available.
IIRC they come with free 5yr parts and labour also

    Hi
It does sound very much like compressor, but without being able to have “hands on ” is quite hard to be definate.

Only way to be sure is to choose an engineer from the link below.

    Hi
Try changing the brush roller itself πŸ™‚

    3. Brush Roller Worn Warning. The red β€œCHECK BRUSH” light will illuminate (after a
10 second delay) to notify the user that the brush roller is too worn and, therefore, should be replaced.
The light will remain illuminated until the worn brush roller is replaced, but the machine will continue to
    operate in the meantime.

    Hi
You would just empty contents of descaler into drum and use a hottish wash (60C) no pre wash selection and no washing in drum.

    Hi
Rodding down the hole in the sump on this era of appliance will prove fruitless.
What you need to do is remove the front lower plinth to gain access to the clear semi-rigid pipe and then remove it and clean it.
The module “weaknes” does not effect your appliance, totally different PCB.
Power off if you are to investigate :plug:

Make sure that the spray arm jets are clean and not clogged.
On this model it has an aqua sensor which basically adjusts the wash time according to how dirty the water is between its sensors. For that fact, 3 or 4 in 1 tabs are useless as times of wash will vary, therfore there is a chance that the tablet could decay in the wrong part of the cycle giving poor wash results.
