    Hi
Im taking model number as U1420K0GB/01.
Looking at wiring I would imagine that if you have heat and no fan operation then its looking like a faulty selector(S9) IMHO.

I have to agree with Bryan, they are more or less spot on.
If they are in a soft water area, then the rinse plus button will be of some use.
Overdosing detergent another problem when customers going from the older water guzzlers to the new energy conscious appliances.
Last and not least of course the loading, because its a bigger drum they always want to shoe horn the last bit in 😀

Just giving some pointers, probably stating the obvious but if it helps 😉

    Hi
The red light would still come on regardless of the element having blown, unless the element blew with significant force and damaged some other component like Simon said.
Can you provide the full model number, usually from around the door opening on a silver plate.

All I can say is that good news travels far and we must be doing something right. Shame we can’t harness any revenue from overseas though 😀

That is of no significance. What we have to consider is the amount of general public that may read this and TBH any posts in the public forums, who may not be as aware of the potential dangers as you or I 🙂
For me to go any further I would need that full model number as requested please.

Please note that we at UKW do not recommend nor see the need for this sort of LIVE testing. With a decent ohm meter the reading/s needed can be obtained. ❗

Does the fan motor spin freely if you spin it by hand and not sluggish?
We will also need ful Enr number, usually found around door opening on a silver plate.

As for circuits etc may I refer you to http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … pic&t=4361
