    Thats what I call unlucky

I’m not pointing the finger at MFI, I’m pointing at at your trade.

Our trade is repair and servicing,we don’t build them.

If you think that people spend good money on cookers only to enjoy parts of them exploding you are definatel not for real!

Ask kwatt has said. we are for real. Also that brand is no Neff or Miele; with that said, it doesn’t mean that the glass should shatter quite so often either. 😕

Anyway you are the experts (ha)

Im not sure what that “ha” comment means but as far as repairing appliances, yes we are.

my wife danced flamenco on the panel and I used it as a bench when doing some DIY.

I wouldn’t recommend doing any of the above on the door glass, not just for the obvious dangers involved but given your track record with door glasses……….. :rolls:

Oh yeah and write to BBC Watchdog.

A good idea but have you contacted Extracare the service leg of MFI first for them to address the alleged problem?.

+ someone bring us fish and chips.

    Not a chance

I still think its worth trying BSH as Tradeplace is still showing the part as “green” as in available 😕

    Hi
A good start would be to check that the uplift pump is working and uplift pipe is not blocked.
Another good check is where that uplift pipe attaches to round insert on water container housing at the top and the insert itself for fluff blockage.

    Hi
Most appliances this part fits are nearly 20 years old, however, its still showing as available via BSH.
Put your model in here and order direct and see what happens 😉

Re: Neff U1421 – One oven not working / heating

    Hi
    Correct parts for bottom oven.
This cavity has a cooling fan as does the main oven. These fans are merely to expel the heat of the ovens when in operation via the vents above each oven door.
The main oven or circotherm oven (top cavity), has an internal cooking heat distribution fan aswell as the cooling fan, situated inside the cavity at the rear; unlike the bottom conventional oven (non circotherm).

Incase your customer has lost his/her instruction manual, I have emailed one over to you. It will explain exactly the same as BSH-MAN has and will help them for further issues should they arise 😀

    Ear muffs 😆
TBH it could be a few things from sheet steel casing vibration, cooling fan bearing wear (if fitted) or something fallen/moved coming onto contact with casing ie mains cable, plaster etc, vibrating when fan/s are on.
Difficult one to fault on here really, its going to be trial and error and a lot of patience 😉

Isolate appliance if you are to investigate :zap:

    Hi
Clock as to be set and set to manual (hand symbol) for the top fan oven to operate and will not effect the lower oven.

I take it you mean lower/bottom non fan assisted oven hinges? If that is the case then these will sort you 😀

    Left hinge 263258
    Right hinge 263260

    These are available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk.

    Re: Neff 1420 fan problems

Good point, but without LIVE testing, did you hear a hum coming from fan motor when oven activated as that also will indicate what BSH MAN has said, and only a motor replacement will be the only option.
