Apparently a steam cleaner is not the correct method of defrost as it damages the insulation causing pockets where ice can form and cause problems.
Bryan (R600a) will probably have more info on the subject

I know they don’t (as most frost free) like being sparcely filled as it then makes them work harder.
Usually very reliable 😀

Hi
I would be looking for a jammed or blown fan motor.
As Penguin sais there are other variants in that range but all use same dryer blower motor 😉
Fan Motor – 140595 around the £90 mark.An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should do the trick.
Also after replacing that, it would be a good idea to remove and clean the air channel assembly.Un plug appliance before attempting any further repairs :plug:

1. On the homEpage (http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk) you will see a box on the right for “Login”, immediately BELOW that box is a paragraph of text in which you will see a link that says “create one” , click on that link
3. Enter your nickname (this is the name that will be seen in the forums and can be anything really)
Can we add, providing it will not cause offence or distress to anyone reading the forums.September 27, 2006 at 7:06 pm in reply to: Bosch SRS43C12gb/21 S/Line D/Wash – stuck on prog #189948gegsy

No hyperlink for webmaster@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
Also as you go down the list and click, you have to scroll back up to read the information, a tad annoying 🙂
