    Goin a bit off topic here but I remember a rep years ago used to work for GA in Rochdale, he was called Craig. I have no idea what significance that has to this topic only to guess he is on broadband of some description 😀 does anyone know of him?

    I was talkin to a BG engineer other day and he said that they were also kicking about the idea of not doing boilers ❓ ❗ ❓

    Said there were so many variants they were becoming non cost effective.
    What does that leave them with??

    If there is no heat then the drying cycle would not be skipped but very poor if existent.

    You say it may have not closed since new?

    I have had some from new with underneath chassis damage thus distorting chassis causing closure problems.

    I would inspect the tank on the left side and internal pipework inc pressure unit for gunge as this is teh usual problem for odd faults like this.

    Most common problem already covered but if your friend has low cold water pressure this will also cause the softner compartment not to fill due to the way that it operates this feed.
