ParticipantRe: Embarassing Bosch question
On a crate or similar on its back (not the Penguin).Remove all base retaining screws and release hinge springs out of base.
Once that all done give base a good tug and should fall away to an extent.
Find and keep float safe 😆Heater will be accesible still a b@tch of a job, new models have 2 screws and base off job done.

The cheapest may look tempting but not always so :lesson:
I have had no outage with BT granted speed varies with contention, but nothing below 1.3mb/s and vary rare to deviate from around 1.9mb/sGreg

Phidom wrote:So, if ISPs are quoting speeds in Mb, not MB then, by my calculations a 2Mb connection will allow data to transfer at 220KB/sec.
Thats the way I read it Phidom, 220kb/s app 2.2mb so very good connection speed.

ParticipantRe: broadband
Try this link for an accurate gauge of speed http://www.btopenworld.com/speedtest
Greg 😉
It will download a file and look at kb/s
ie – 100kb/s =1mb/sec
I use BT 2mb home user – and it can vary from 1.3mb – 2.4mb sec.
Its alll down to contention. Bt use 50:1 that means you could be at worst sharing your connection with 49 other users and if they all downloading would make it really slow.gegsy
