Do we have to register or use our UKW login?
If its the latter then NO, it says incorrect login.

You can get earth leakage on new elements, had it myself.
Only a suitable meter as mentioned will confirm for you.
Ive never had problem with carbon dust in the module TBH, but in saying that its not impossible.

Sounds more like a heater problem TBH 😕
With a suitable meter (megger) you can check for breakdown of the heater.
    Power off first 😥

When you read the heater you have disconnected the connections on iyt as you may get a false reading.

    Hi
Heater should read approx 20-30 Ohms.
If you are struggling and have already spent on parts, it may be time for pro help? 🙂
Unplugging NTC would result in wash action as normal (without heat) to the end of cycle IIRC

    Hi
The black stuff is motor carbon dust. This stuff is electrically conductive so if it gets where it shouldn’t will cause problems.
I would start by removing motor, check brushes and replace if necessary.
Remove as much of the dust you can from the motor itself as it could be tracking over and causing the fault you have.

Power off first before attempting :plug:

    Re: Hotpoint Motor

Is it an FHP or Ceset motor as this matters?
Also just to create further problems, is it a WMA30 N,P,PE or S ? Just to be sure but Im sure they use same motors 😕

Check you have turned the water on and not kinked any hoses, easily done with these built in appliances 😉
