ParticipantRe: ISE 10 Review (Hope It Helps!)
Just thought I’d add my two-penneth having had our ISE10 Washing Machine for a few weeks now.
It’s built like a tank. It sits solidly and securely on the floor, and does not move around (unlike the old Bosch). It also vibrates less than the old machine. It’s easy and clear to use, and I really like being able to interrupt the program, change elements of the program, add/remove wash items, or even change program, in flight. And it’s fast; our typical washes take just over 1hr now, rather than 2hrs previously.
It’s really quiet when washing, thanks to the brushless induction motor, less so when spinning at 1600rpm, but then we were used to ‘only’ 1000rpm levels previously. I would agree with the OP that it seems louder than our old Bosch when filling, even allowing for the high water pressure here.
The door can take a little getting used to; because it’s mounted on the suspended tub, rather than the outer casing, it ‘gives’ a little when you shut it; you have to shut it firmly but without slamming or ‘throwing’ the door, otherwise it doesn’t always catch first time.
The one thing I’d say it was missing is some kind of extra skirt between the outer case and the tub just under the inner door; whilst it hasn’t happened yet, I can foresee small items dropping down the small gap and being very difficult to retrieve. We protect against it by rolling up a tea towel and laying it in the gap for unloading (actually it’s there all the time, and sometimes starts to slip down itself.)
But, this is a minor ‘con’. Otherwise, it feels like a very good, very solid machine that should give years of service.
One final point; many thanks to Steve (a.k.a. Aqualectric, a member of the forum I believe) who went well past the call of duty to deliver, install and fully demonstrate our machine on a Monday evening, and take away the old one, when he was accidentally double-booked in the day by ‘the management’ at home! A nicer guy, and a better delivery and installation, you couldn’t ask for.

My ‘cynicism’ was a little tongue in cheek. I have just ordered an ISE10 …

RE: Spin Speeds.
Given kwatt’s article on spin speeds – why did you feel the need to go as high as 1600 on the ISE washing machines?
A little bit of the same marketing hype? 😉

ParticipantRe: Zanussi DW 925. Worth Repairing?
My DW925 is just over 14 years old. It’s has new door springs, spray arm, spray nozzles, basket wheels and cutlery basket. The fascia is cracked, the programme control knob no longer lines up with the indicator line, and now it’s leaking from the bottom door seal and possibly also somewhere inside as well.
I think it’s time it was put out of my misery 😀
I’m considering the ISE5 Dishwasher; my local agent says their engineers are very impressed with it, and they have had no problems at all with the ISE5 washing machines they’ve sold.
I did notice that UKwhitegoods said in July 2007 (over a year on, isn’t it about time this was updated?) that the ISE10 was due out by now. Did this become the ISE5 or is there still an ISE10 around the corner ❓

‘Only’ needed to remove the front panel off the door and the foot of the machine to get to the hinges in the end.But a word of warning to anyone else wanting to do this themselves – watch out for the edges of the stainless steel door pressing once the covers are off and you’re taking it off the hinge – if they’re like mine, they’re like razors! Ow! Wear protective gloves. 🙁

Hi Dave. Unfortunately, what arrived was Part Number 50223761003, which are grey, rectangular section, and won’t fit. The originals are white, and with a rounded-end section (see photograph earlier in the thread).
Can you send me a pair of the right ones, soonest, please? Happy to return the erroneous ones (where to?).

OK, final question. Would you be able to supply a pair of lower spray arm nozzles for the DW925 as well? I can’t find them in the Shop@ either …
Old one looks like this (yes, it’s had to be glued back in with chemical metal ….):

Alex, Goatboy. Thanks for the info. Tried to find the part in the ukwhitegoods Shop@, to no avail (tried dw925, zanussi, door hinge, door hinges, zanussi hinge etc etc…).
Best offer I’ve had elsewhere is £33.19 from KUA online.
