Ok these ideas do sound easy sorry to be a pain in the neck the machine is my daughters which is why i cant tell at this moment if the top comes off and I have suffered two strokes so having my head upside down as i did yesterday isn’t a good idea.
Thankyou to you all once again for helping me out I am sure i shall be able to do it now 😀

Thankyou very much for the fast reply I’ll give it a try, my only concern is getting my hand up to put the belt on the drive wheel which I can only just reach with one hand, can you tell me does the top or lid of the machine come off and if it does would that enable me to have a bit more room reaching down

    Re: Hotpoint aquarius extra wma40s

I have replaced the brushes no problem but i cant for the life of me get the belt back on, there is such a tiny space to fiddle with it with just a small access panel to do it through. I have tried putting the belt on the motor first but cant then bolt the motor in place, Am i missing something here or does anyone know of an easy way to do this.

Re: Zanussi FJ1295 fills but does not wash

My husband has installed new carbon brushes. Initially I thought problem was solved as machine started to work fine. Then part way through wash cycle it just sits there and does nothing. I clicked the programmer one click and it continued to drain the water and refill as normal. It does this several times throughout the cycle. Although this is an improvement as it wouldn’t spin at all before, there is obviously still something wrong. What can I try next?

Thank you very much for the advice. I’ve cleaned all the pipes & tubes. The lower spiggot that the horseshoe pipe attaches to had a partial blockage. Machine now works perfectly.
Thanks again for the replies, they have saved me a lot of money.
