As it happened suddenly I’m wondering if the PTC switches from start to run windings and has gone faulty. Strange that with the cap disconnected it made no difference, Could any BSH guys throw any light on it?.

Hi, Martin the bearing fine and the motor turns freely, This is what s confusing me The seal must have only been just started leaking as there was some staining at the bottom of the Mtr housing but clean as a whistle around the shaft. forgot to say 240v at motor terminals.

Could be a 37400/401 if so its either a BLT090 or 077 from Connect, At the price would be worth taking both.

    Re: Jury Duty

Dam, Just been called again and this time I,am even more determined to avoid it, The Maximum daily allowances listed are:

Up to and including, 4 hours: £31.56 Per day (First 10 days of Service)
More than 4 Hours: £63.12 Per day

    Mileage: 30p Per Mile 😡

The are seriously taking the pish, how do they expect a sole trader to accept losses like this plus a huge amount of loss of goodwill? Having re read the original post and if I cant get it deferred I am also going to forget to Go, Just like ken.

My second thought was go and shoplift a bar of chocolate, pay a small fine get a criminal record and then be exempt from jury service for the rest of my life 😀

Has any one else managed to avoid it more than once?

    Re: customer wants money back!!!

I called to a job at our local posh golf club last week and replaced the Yank Whirlpool top loader clutch. Got a call back the next day and found that the motor was getting hot and not running so ordered a new Cap, Called back today fitted cap but still no go. Went to find the general manager and explain that due to the cost of a new motor it would not be economical to repair, Was expecting a load of verbal and demands for a refund of the £ 50 I Charged to change the clutch, But no his comments were Oh well! its getting old so when can you supply us with a new one 🙂

Not a mention of a refund, And I gave him a number of a local retailer who could get him a new one in a couple of days.
Shame there all not like that.

    Employed/Self employed!

    Employed:

    5 Weeks paid holiday
    Pension
    Van
    Mobile
    Laptop
    Spares supplied
    Work arranged
    Paid Sickness benefit
    Screw up, Not your problem

    Self Employed:

    None of the above

But would I swop? Not in a million years 😆

They look the same as the Antony Worrall Thompson Brand which surprisingly Connect seem to stock a lot of parts for.
