    Re: Anyone recommend??

Ok, just state good brands that are reliable, quality, warranty etc. unlike hotpoint where they break down etc.

    Thanks

Re: advice on removing cap on drain pump???

Why should i call the repair man? All i want to know is narrow down the issue in why it carries on washing on any programme at 1 minute left. It keeps washing. It dont spin so i cancel the wash, switch to spin. It drains no problem. Spins no problem, opens door no problem. So why is it playing up? Looked online, all points to drain pump but i solved that! What else??

Electrode myself? How can i with testers that have plastic handle. I’m not gonna touch wires. I’m too sensible to do that! Pmsl

I wont appoint a repair guy. I like to learn and understand how to read voltage. Its good to help with info. I like to get jobs done myself.

Basically, why is it still washing all the way to 1 minute on display and still washing? All i need is someone who can advice on pressing buttons or what i need to just read codes like i would with a car and code reader.

    Re: Hotpoint wml540 bearings?

Hoover we already got for 3 years. Only issue the handle broke so i replaced it, now i have to bang door several times to get machine to lock door for the wash,

Hotpoint i acquired cos it was cheap and i figured it’ll be faulty waste pump, i was right! Its sorted,

2nd hotpoint isnt mine. Its my mate who had it for just over a year. Now bearings gone. Not me who have both hotpoints! Lol

Lol no not got another machine. Its my mate who now have the noise after a year!
My washing machine in kitchen is hoover washer/dryer. Got locking issue.

Found that mate’s machine drum is welded bearing! Oh dear!! Hes scrapping it cos he wont pay 200 for new part!!

What can i do about hoover washer/dryer? New handle been fitted, now have to bang door to get it to lock to start wash!

No. Honest… Still need to do the rim just behind the front. And the inside to do… I’ll show you…

Still a bit more to go, this is 4 times. Spray, soak for 5 minutes then spray on sponge and scrub. It takes a while but gets there without damaging the rubber

As for the seal, try THIS

Cant do same thread as its entirely different type as first one was asking for advice, this one is stating what i’ve done and used what etc.

Dettox mould and mildew cleaner spray did wonders!!! As shown above, took me 4 cleaning times as mould was reallly thick!!
