Re: Ariston A1636 – unresponsive – flashing lights

    Hi,

Thanks, yeah I got the hint 🙂 Just trying to decide whether to make do with something cheaper until we get the kitchen done (in 3-5 years time hopefully) or to pay up now, and keep it when the kitchen is upgraded.

    Thanks again

Thanks again for your info, much appreciated. Sounds like its not worth it, as it was getting tired anyway and who knows when something else will go on it. I guess I now start researching what to replace it with.

    Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. Doesn’t sound good. Do you mean one of these? :

If so, it doesn’t look like an economic repair as its about 6 years old.

    Thanks again.

Re: Beko FN240 – Light works, but that’s it.

Its the thermostat, I couldnt hear the compressor click (although my ears started to play tricks on me!) and then I tested the thermostat by jumping across the terminals (thanks to the wiring diagram on the back of the appliance) and it came to life!

So I’ll order one of them up now.

    Thanks for all your help!

Thanks I’ll have a look when I get home from work and let you know. So if it’s completely quiet then it probably the termostat?

Will a faulty thermostat in the fridge stop the freezer from working?

    Thanks again.
