ParticipantThanks. Is there any reason that I might use heat resistant cable, which someone has suggested to me?

Yes it’s a 32A circuit

ParticipantYes I was planning on cutting away a section of the plinth below the existing oven. The bottom of the cabinets sit about 20cm off the floor – the cabinets are on legs – so there’s nowhere to screw in the brackets as low as I would need them to be.
The existing oven is a single – same width as the new oven, but the new oven is 13cm taller.itm60

Yes the brackets wouldn’t work for me, as the kitchen units on either side of the oven cavity are not as tall as the new oven, and are suspended on legs about 20cm off the floor. If I position the new oven into the old cavity the base will need to sit about 7cm below the base of the existing units (and about 13cm off the floor), so there would be nothing to screw the brackets into on the sides.

ParticipantIt’s a new one – I’m expecting delivery tomorrow. I’ve called the Belling helpdesk and they’ve told me that it won’t be supplied with legs
