Yes, you did. The most important one to many. 😉

You’re name is on the list of companies that will provide their services to commercial clients that the WTA gives out.

And, that a number of companies “prefer” to use WTA members due to the COP.

hello. im interested in this but one question. do they pay chargeable rates and we can make money on pars or do they so the same as other firms and dictate the fees and no money on parts?so kind like advertising to everyone that you do work for discounts like you said in another form?
and apart from a few discounts herre n there which anyone can get if they pick up the phone and hotel bills, what else do i get for probably my 70 + 240 in hotels which it seems i have to pay and go to or i miss out?
do you provide training and certificates ect like other trade people? i would send my engineers on appliance training if you do it?.but not really interested if its just a discount club?.

bigger picture maybee but i get sidetracked by arguing that you would expect to see in a pantomime.this is suppost to be a trade forums for trades people?i had to look twice sometimesto see if i was in the right place.the niceic forum isnt like this.!.
after reading it all,i can see this, that if it was that bad,it would be folded.as noone in the contry would do work for them?but they do so i guessing that the majority are happy?i say that because if someone dont pay me or messme about i wont do anything for them and nor would anyone i know.so if it was contry wide, they wouldnt have a business?

    Re: The 0800 Thread

taken me about four days to read all this.and apart from the things people say that make me think half are like people arguing on facebook, but with usernames here why do people dowork for these?if its all so bad, then they would not be in buiness as noone would do the work?but people are still do the work so they cant be that bad?or noone would do the work?
i think this is ten or twentyish people moaning oover and over when there must be hundreds in the contry willing or doing the work.?otherwise they would fold?.i think this,if you are not happy then dont do the work.if you are happy, then carry on.if that many people not happy the the firm has no people so they cant deliver on their promises.equals a fold.but if the firms going strong, then people are happy and doing the work.thats good enough for me.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

hello kwatt. i used to run a adwords campaign and still do sometimes if its really quiet.its very hard to get used to and needs a lot of time spent on it to make sure you dont spend to much.you only have to go on google for how to maintain a adwords account and it will tell you over and over that if not run right it can cost a lot of money.
then you have the headache of the phone always ringing with people that want things for free.and you have to answer every call as theyare costing sometimes as much as 2 or 3 pound a click.and if you do low costs per clik, then you dont appear so its a bugger.so in reality youre probly spending a quite a few quid to get 1 job.and with advertising lower rates as you said, people do that everyday anyway.the firm i spoke to few weeks back said they only pay me 20 quid if a machine swapped and that might be after 2 trips!.
i got fed up with the phonecalls.everyone wants something for nothing.im trying to work but spending more time on the phone to people wanting new appliances or people wanting free callouts or even had them where they having new kitchens and want advice on new appliance.and im paying for that call.so my advice would be to try it on a low budget.
ive said along with others above that national appliance care is good.you people should try it before you knock it.

and tothe guy above martin, why not ring them or email and you can get your confusion sorted out?they are a good bunch to deal with so rather than go magnum pi,just ask them directly?

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

hello canufixit. i suppose in a way this will benefit me too. as long as i do a good job,who do they ring in the future? probably me 😀 so in a way this work from national appliance care could help me build my customer base.when they pass the customer they dont have any further input in to the job so theyliterally are passed to me and future work bythese customers depend soley on the way my business does the repair.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

hello. it doesnt happen, or hasnt yet. like the others above me in here,it works for me quite well and im happy with it. if i compare what i do for national appliance care against the firm i spoke to the other week,it looks like im doing half the work for similar income.i also saving quite a bit of money on advertising and my phone isnt ringing all day with people wanting a repair for free.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

i spoke to a warranty firm a couple of weeks ago that were paying between 32 – 45 per job end of. no parts profit nothing. they said it goes down to 20 if the appliance was ber. so its not hard for me to see whats worth more money. like someone else said though, it works for some and maybe not others. i personally find that a repair in most instances needs a part of some kind as they are like electrical customers, they wont call you out for a tripped rcd, they call tou out because something tripped it. people saying about 29 for a repair on here but in reality, its way more than some i have been offered for doing under warranty work. especially when we are doing lots of samsung fridges and making over 100 on each one . its only 49 for washers and dryers then the charges go up. i look at it like this, if i fix a washer no parts and make 29 and my next job is a range cooker element making 100 and my next one is a samsung fridge making 100 then ive had 229 for 3 jobs. using average means i get 76 a job. and ive quickly seen that in this trade thats not bad. and i get my money there n then and not in 4 or 6 weeks.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

hello yes. some weeks it might be less and sometimes weve had to pause them as really busy but generally 20 to 30 is right. last week we were only omline with them for 3 days and had 14 booked jobs. but the good thing is if i dont get any or dont want any then i dont pay anything.

    Re: National Appliance Care ?

i get some work from national appliance care. we get about 20 to 30 a week from them and never had problems. the guy above that says he doesnt know how they can quote fees, lee8, from what i know is that they have one or two firms per area so they know their charges when they take them on. we also do a lot of electrical work so i like this because the jobs i get are proper jobs not time wasters wanting free callouts and i can say no to jobs i cant do without getting charged anything.
seems good to me compared to another firm that asked if i can do repairs for 40 pound. as a spark by trade i have seen that there is lots of profit to be made in spare parts. i can get my own spare parts with national appliance care and i keep all the money so the profit margin is pretty good. there job booking system is also very good.

Re: Whirlpool American fridge freezer s20 e freezer icing up

Thanks for your reply I also have 1 of these units heating up in freezer at top defrosting the ice maker as if the defrost is staying on to long or fan has shut down, there is no problem with the fan as I have seen it running. the customer said they turned it off left it for a bit then it started freezing as normal then a day or to later warming up again, do you think this could also be the power module.
