let us know the outcome, as there seems to be loads of us wanting to know just how much the costs might be and whether it’s worth any of us repairing rather than dumping.

Cheers
I will cetainly conside replacing the Cover then.
Any ideas about the Freezer problem. I did say that the problem had occured before and then temporarily righted itself following an extensive defrost and power down. Then 3 weeks later fault with the two shelves not freezing returned.
Good info so far please keep it coming!

thanks for the advice.
It does seem that most of the similar threads point to this evap cover.
Is the evap cover an electrical part. It looks just like a plastic cover and if so why does the fault actually happen.
After posting my message I went to have a look at the unit and once again it’s not working properly.
A couple of weeks ago I defrosted the unit over several days and restarted it, only to find the water tank had split. So I disconnected the water supply and restarted. Everything went OK for about 3 weeks.
I have just discovered that the Freezer is not working too well. The top two shelves are not freezing food properly but the bootom two seem OK. I had this problem as well as the frozen water tank before my recent defrost.
Can all this be down to the Evap Cover?
Right now I feel like just chucking this one away. It cost me over £1200 when I bought it and now they are readily available for about £550.
More advice is certainly welcome.
