ParticipantHi Dave,
Thanks for the tip.
I can see water dripping behind the water inlet. Below the main cover.

I also need to remove the thread bolt which needs an allen key. Not sure which size.

Thanks

ParticipantHi,
Did you manage to sort this problem.
Ideally, you need an allen key. I also wondered what size allen key is required. As I also need to remove it and check.
I was planning to remove the whole of water inlet contraption and clean it.
There is also another small interior water cap that need to be undone with an allen key. Need to know the size please.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the link.
There are quite a few meters there.
Which one would you recommend please : to carry out test on above appliances etc .
Also when I had a problem with my fridge there were few tests recommended. One of them said :” After you dust the relay off, take a good look at it. You should see two plug-type terminals marked “S” and “M” and the slip-on terminal marked “L.” Set your multitester to read ohms (usually the X1 or RX1 setting). Set the relay on a flat surface so that the “S” and “M” terminals are on the bottom. ”
Like to get one that can do the above. Not sure what it means by” the X1 or RX1 setting “.
Also saw one in B & Q :Is that any good :

Will that be adequate for the purpose.

Hi,That doesn’t sound too good. Not very good design if the PCB goes just because the heater element has gone.
So it’s not worth changing the heater element ?
Thanks for all the assistance.

Hi Applianceman2010,Thanks for the reply.
Are you saying that the Heating Element has gone ?
If they have gone, would all the lights go off.
How can I be sure ?
Also if the heating element has gone, would I normally be able to use the spin or pump programme. Or cold wash ?
None of the lights coming on !
ThanksJM2

Hi Kelland,Thanks for the reply.
I had checked the brushes. They seemed OK when I checked two weeks ago.
It has worked few times and now has suddenly gone. There is lot of water left inside.
Trying to work out your instructions. There are two dials
One for the programme on the left.
and
the right dial is for spin speed.
There are 5 buttons from left to right ;
1. Remaining Time / Time delay
2. Short Wash
3 Extra Rinsing
4. Less Ironing
5. Start

So not sure which ones I turn and hold.
