Re: Belling Dual fuel top oven

Thanks Phil, Just to set your mind at ease, power off was the first thing i did 😀 .
The handbood mentions two methods of heating top over – a grill element which is visible and one under the floor of the oven.
Ive loosened the back off and can see the two pairs of connections for the top grill element and one for the lower fan oven. but nothing for anything between the top of the lower oven and the bottom of the upper oven.
In fact the inner panel under the insulation seems to be continous from top to bottom apart from some 20mm dia holes running across the back about where the element should be.
    Any ideas?

    Regards

    John

Hi Penguin, thanks for being so prompt, yes it’s been three months and we’re still washing up by hand…. in this day and age!
Actually she was never too happy with how the machine worked anyway, but I’m not sure if we were using it right, I had read the comments on the site about salt etc but the cups, plates etc always felt if they had grit stuck to them even after we’d cleaned the machine and kept sale levels up.
Anyway I have mailed the spares address you gave me and may be back for more advice.

    regards

Hi many thanks for your prompt reply, that gives me a good place to start, but as always ( always is where I’m concerned ) theres another question, how do I find which wires go to the heater, can i test it from just removing the top?or is it a sides off job. Also is there a level of resistance it should read.

    Regards

    John
