    Re: Hoover auto-washer 800 leaking

thanks for the link, can you reccomend a reliable repair service for my washer in the greater manchester area?
the link i gave seemed reasonably priced plus it comes with a 12 month gaurantee.
if someone knows of good one out of all those on the search function i would appreciate it.(bit of a minefield for me to choose one for the repair!)

    Re: Hoover auto-washer 800 leaking

Thanks for the reply, model number on the back of washer says AC288.Had it a good few years now, bought second hand, this is the first major problem i have had from it since getting it.
guess i will have to turn it on and try and see where the leak is coming from.is it safe to turn it on with the back panel removed to see inside?

Re: parkinson cowan gas cooker faulty lid

thanks for the reply jonah, the cap is still on ,the lid doesnt come into contact with it though when lid is closed,so unsure if that is the main problem.should that valve cap be able to be pushed in by the lid?it doesnt see to go in even when i press onto it with my finger, should it do?
i will try and get a picture uploaded so you can see it properley later.
    thanks again.

Re: parkinson cowan gas cooker faulty lid

have also read that this belling model was subjected to a product recall due to a fault with the grill, you can read about it here http://www.iaai-uk-productrecall.org.uk … all_ID=483
hope that i can get this sorted for free as this website claims,as it was given to me i dont have any sort of reciept, gaurantee or any other documentation.
do you know what parts i may actually need for the lid problem?apart from missing the right hand lid cap where it is attached to the cooker by hinge,is it something to do with the cut off valve?lid doesnt touch it when i close it,is this what is stopping it extinguishing gas burners?
    thanks.

Re: parkinson cowan gas cooker faulty lid

it was the fitter who said she thought it was a parker cowan, the label on the outside on the oven door which may have had the makers name has been eroded due to cleaning i think, the registration number which is on the inside bottom right has the serial number 03 104352 08.
i think you are right, when i googled G755 MK-2 WH yesterday most of the results mentioned BELLING.
mine looks exactly like the one on this site http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/gas … g755an.asp
so i think the fitter who told me they thought it was a parker cowan was guessing.
thanks for thr reply and info.

Re: parkinson cowan gas cooker faulty lid

thanks for the reply, the fitter was one of the workmen who have been fitting new radiators and boilers on our estate.I have now found someone who is going to fix it through a friend so i should get it done soon, wasnt totally sure of the model number, small metal label on the inside says G755 MK-2WH.
not sure if that is right though?
looking at pictures on the web it looks like a SIG 414 or 320,no mention of either of these on mine though.
