Re: indesit iwc6125 motor not turning much

It was capacitors on the PCB.

Swapped a couple of them and it’s fine now.

I forgot to put the tacho back to start with and that was interesting because it shows the symptoms of a non working tacho which are different, i.e. it spins up really fast.

There was white powder inside the tacho is this normal ? Some kind of lubricant,

Other possibility is PCB. Any way of testing this. (I can debug analog audio circuits quite easily)

    The maget is there.

Cant’ see how it wouldn’t be, it’s screwed to the shaft.

I would expect some kind of reading or change in reading on the rotation of the motor from the TACHO otherwise what’s the point, how does it work ?

Re: indesit iwc6125 motor not turning much

I tested via AC again. 0.00 Volts

The resistance was 72ohms ( i used crocodile clips this time to ensure no movement of probes)

Turning the motor by hand (belt on or off) the resistance from the tacho didn’t change by more than 1ohm.

    I was testing AC.

    I will try OHMS scale,

anyone ideas on where to buy one separately ?

    It’s working again now.

Will see how I get one, Do these have out of balance sensors? I may have reset it by tilting it to look at the circuit board.
