    Re: Whirlpool ADG7540 Problem

    Well I’ve fixed it,
I took the left hand side panel and the only electrical conection was on the large white plastic thing at the bottom, I take it this is the flow meter in the fill matrix, took the conecter off and carefully bent out the block conecter contacts though they didnt appear to be loose. put it all back together and hey presto it working fine..
Only consern is if it wasnt a bad conection and maybe a dead spot on the flow meter which I have got over by moving it slightly when unpluging it.. are these available to buy or would I have to get the whole matrix..?
    Time will tell though.
Thank you very much to Jackster and Penguin45 for your help..
How did we ever manage without dishwashers..

Ok thanks, sorry to ask where it was but didnt notice any access panels there when I had it all apart earlier, I have another look tomorrow, hopefully it will just be a bad conection.
    Thanks for your help

    Thanks,
When you say the left hand panel where abouts is that ?. is the flow meter the small unit just inside the casing after the water hose conection, I thought that was just an on/off solinoid.

    Re: Whirlpool ADG7540 Problem

I decided not to risk it and have drained the sump and salt water part with a large syringe, removed the bottom cover and took out the large black sensor and the small white sensor from the sump and cleaned them although they didnt look too gunged up and refitted them.
Put it all back together and started it free standing I can hear water going in but then it stops, starts bleeping goes back to rinse and drains but now the light is flashing 7 times then a pause…? It was definatly flashing 6 times before..?

    Re: Whirlpool ADG7540 Problem

    Hi Jackster,
I have checked the water supply and its ok, hose not kinked, disconected the pipe to the back of the machine then turned the water back on and a good supply, the gauze inlet filter is clear.
Am I right in thinking that the flow valve/meter are accesed by tipping the macine on its side and removing the bottom cover, do I need to drain the water from the sump or is it ok just to have the door closed..?
    Thanks for your help

Hi, could this maybe be the problem with my whirlpool that I have posted about, it also flashes 6 times.
Do Diplomat and whirlpool share the same inner workings..?
