    Thanks again Dave,

    Aren’t Beko wiring diagrams wonderful?

I can’t believe that colours/connections are not identified on such!

    Good evening,

Sorry for my late response to the above problem.

I quickly identified the wiring connections thanks to Dave obtaining a wiring diagram. (I messaged him directly to thank him.)

However, the function selector switch turned out to be faulty too, hence my late reply.

Having sorted the two astray connections, the switch decided to arc considerably when testing.

I thought that this may have been due to the above connections shorting out, but when I removed the switch for inspection, one of the unrelated contacts was severely burned/damaged, so it could have been failing…

Regardless, I would like to thank Dave (once again!) and I’m grateful for the wiring diagram, and pleased that the job is sorted.

Later than planned feedback on the above tumble dryer.

The board/heater relay is faulty, as the related wiring continuity is fine.

I’ve finally had time and found the reason the original board isn’t powering up.

The contacts in the main selector switch are burned out.

However, not on the replacement board, which I’ve damaged to inspect. (switch housing)

My customer decided to purchase a new machine, so I’ll probably have to admit defeat on this one.

I suspect a short circuit from the heater, or motor for example, may be the underlying cause, and has immediately damaged something in the new board when fitted…

    Good evening,

    Thanks for your help Dave.

    I’ve just tested the above.

The orange arrowed resistor gives an Ohms reading of: 98.5 Ohms

The red arrowed diode gives a reading of: 1.95KOhms

The microchip appears to be perfect.

So, wondering if the orange arrowed resistor is faulty, and what it relates to?

    Thanks again,

Agreed, there must be an underlying fault somewhere…

Hopefully images attached via a different arrangement.

    Thanks again Dave,

I’ll have further attempts in forwarding board images.

    Sorry Dave,

I’m struggling to upload/attach any photos from my camera at the moment…

There’s little of note on the original board – the machine is only just over two years old, with light use, and the board looks virtually brand new.

I’ve checked and double checked the heater and ‘stats, which are good.

    Will revisit next week.

Many thanks for the info’ (yet again!) Dave,

I’ll revisit next week, as customer away and I’m very busy…

    Thanks Dave,

    I’m stumped with this fault…

I’ve tried powering up the old board, which doesn’t light up, and I cannot conclusively say whether the voltage is low after the power chip.

I may have to try another board, although the replacement to many weeks to arrive from Beko…

    Good evening Dave,

The other serial number is: 21-108131-12

Part number: 2851545790 which I think is correct, looked the same, and fitted okay…

    Thanks again Dave,

I managed to access the Diagnostic Mode on the above washer/dryer this afternoon.

Of specific interest for this problem is “Stage C10 Drying Test” which verifies the drying loads of the machine.

During this stage, the display (UI) displays the upper and lower NTC temperature values which were a pretty steady 56 & 26 degrees c.

Nothing else materialised until exiting the diagnostic mode, whereby error E22 was displayed!

This relates to “drying water drain timeout,” and may mean a defective drain pump, blocked drain pipe/filter or blocked drying condenser. (which is not applicable)

I confirmed that the pump filter is fine, and there are no drain hose blockages, along with water draining perfectly when pumping when tested last week, and during the above tests.

I didn’t have time to do any further tests, such as electrically testing the drain pump, and remain perplexed at this obscure fault…

    Thanks Dave,

I’ll return and carry out the above, as no error codes shown.
