    Evening all,

    Thanks for your replies.

I apreciate the power supply is not constant due to programme… i.e. should be turning motor clockwise/anticlockwise.

Could you let me know if it is possible to test the TOC, and approximately how much one costs?

    Regards,

    Hello Madmac,

Just wondering if you had any joy with your dishwasher, assuming you had the chance to have a look at it over the w/e?

Re: Diplomat (Whirlpool) ADP8322 integrated dishwasher

    Evening all… again,

Wondering if anybody can advise on the problems I’m experiencing with the above dishwasher.
Having renewed the afore-mentioned control module, all seemed well until the customer contacted me this evening.
Evidently, the m/c runs well for around 1/2 hour before going onto rinse mode, and stopping.
The customer states that the m/c isn’t cleaning v. well either, and appreciates the difficulty in locating the problem.
Forgive my inexperience (I’ve not been an independent engineer for long) but is there another control module on most dishwashers?
I realise some have another unit in the base area.
Thought I’d cured the above problem, especially as the unit is integrated, although customer is talking about buying a new m/c. as I have said it is my mistake in not diagnosing fault correctly.

    By the way…
On a modern Hotpoint D/W (or any other make) how does one test the power supply to the soap dispenser?
Again, I made the mistake of renewing the dispenser unit to rectify a soap dispenser not releasing… and fault remains!
    Suspect wiring fault/control unit.
Presumably, the solenoid only receives power for a brief moment after around 10 -15 minutes operation, thus opening the dispenser lid?

    Best wishes,

    Re: Gorenje WA6111 a/w

    Chris,

I understand you have probably realised that these, and other Gorenje W/M’s have soap dipenser leakage problems.

Thay are prone to splitting…. or hairline cracks of the plastic casing, and renewal is the most suitable solution.

They are available from ISDAL in the Wakefield area, although I’m not sure if that is anywhere near the Soviet Republic of Yorkshire!

    Best wishes,

    Hi there,

Yes, the m/c is about 12 years old.

The customer is complaining of the m/c not progressing through the washing programme/sticking.

When I visited this was not so apparent, and I said that I would try and decipher the flashing lights code.

However, this is proving difficult as the sequence described is not in the user manual.

    Hope this helps.

Re: Tricity Bendix President Double Oven Thermostat R&R

    Hello Brian,

Sorry, don’t have facility for scanning.
The wiring instructions refer to replacing “Diamond H” thermostsat type ET46TH with Type ET51

There is a choice of four appliance types to select the type of oven:
    1. Built-in oven.
    2. Splashback appliance with timer.
    3. Free-standing with timer.
    4. Free-standing without timer.

I reckon its a free-standing oven with timer, although, as I’m fairly new to this business could it be classed as a splashback appliance?

    The instructions are as follows:

    Splashback appliance:
Remove connection (double tag) from F and connect to C on new stat, then cut off small link (2a to timer)
Remove connection from 2 and connect to 2a
Remove connection from 6 and connect to A on new stat.
Remove connection from G/H and connect to B on new stat.

    Free-standing with timer:
Remove connection (double tag) from 5 (timer) and connect to C on new stat, then cut off small link F
Remove connection from 2 and connect to timer (5)
Remove connection from 6and connect to A on new stat.
Remove connection from 6 and connect to A on new stat.
Remove connection from G/H and connect to B on new stat.

    Free-standing w/out timer:
Remove connection 2 and connect to A on new stat.
Remove connection F and connect to B on new stat.
Remove connection G/H and connect to C
Link from G/H to 6 remove or sever.

Hope you can shed some light on this.

    Kind regards,

    Jontymox
